Television Options for On-campus Viewing

Campus units can purchase cable television connections at most campus buildings. Cable television is available for viewing at many campus locations including select residence hall lounges, recreation centers, and the Northwood community centers.

At locations where cable service is not provided, campus residents and others can use the wired and wireless data networks to connect to video services of their choice. This page describes some online alternatives for individual viewing.

Philo Internet Television (service ends July 31, 2021)

Members of the university community can log in at umich.philo.com to view 25 local broadcast channels including the major broadcast networks. Philo can be viewed on most computers, tablets and smart phones, or by using a Roku streaming device connected to a television set. Read more about supported devices and browsers. Xfinity on Campus

Xfinity on Campus is a streaming video service available only to residents of the Munger Graduate Residences and Northwood I, II, IV, and V. XFINITY On Campus includes access to stream live TV, movies and sports on the go and optional premium and international content.
